Brusque - Saint Luiz Gonzaga Cathedral

Downtown Brusque, in front of the Baron Von Schneeburg Square, the amazing catholic church rises on the hill. It was totally constructed with granite blocks from the outskirts of the town. The construction began in 1955 and was concluded in 1961. Its capacity is for 2 thousand people.

Besides being the most modern religious temple in Brusque, there is an interesting detail: out of all the stones used in its construction, there are no two stones alike. They are all different. Want to check? Got to be patient: there are 25 thousand pieces.

Rua Padre Gattone, 75 - Downtown.
