Inaugurated on July 14, 1866, the club is, according to a 1964 research carried out by a renowned magazine of the time, the oldest hunting and shooting club in Latin America. Add to that the post of the oldest club of its kind still in operation.

Initially, it served as a shooting training club for defense against natives and for the families to meet after Sunday church services.
Presently, it is used for the practice of bocce and social meetings.
The club counts on a heated pool for children and adults, bocce courts, ranges for bulls-eye shooting, game room, party room and restaurant.
