The Sanctuary, built following the beautiful romantic style, pictures two 40-meter-high columns, three wings and is 45 meters long and 16 meters wide. The main altar is made of marble. There are two side altars and two side chapels (Saint Jude Thaddeus and Saint Anthony), four confessionary booths , one pulpit and 72 benches.

Visited daily by faithful tourists from all over Brazil, every third Sunday of August is marked by the festivities of "Azambuja" attracting nearly 80 thousand pilgrims.
