Joinville - City

With more than 500 thousand inhabitants, Joiville, is, presently, the largest city in the state of Santa Catarina, a melting pot of diversified cultures, its heritage from the immigrants from Switzerland, Germany, Norway (around 1851), Italy, France (a little later) and other places in Brazil.

Its people has been able to overcome all obstacles and transform a little countryside town into the largest and most upraising economy of the state of Santa Catarina, the third largest industrial pole of the south of the country and the home of headquarters of industry giants such as Tigre, Döhler, Schulz, Docol, Lepper, Tupy, Consul-Multibrás and Embraco, one of the few Brazilian multinational companies.

In the 50's the city was able to materialize its industrial vocation. The same way, nowadays, the city is investing heavily in the formation of a wide, comprehensive and modern receptive complex, to house large trade shows, congresses, concerts and cultural and sports events.

Located between the mountains and the seaside, Joinville counts on impressive natural beauties and a cultural inventory that will enchant any tourist. Even those who come on business trips, will find an excellent service network and many leisure options. Malls, movie theaters, theater, museums, restaurants, nightclubs, or rather, everything that makes a large event unforgettable.
